Privacy Policy for Rise

Rise (“the App”) is designed with a privacy-first mindset. The App operates primarily within the Apple ecosystem and does not require user accounts or personal identification. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Rise allows you to create and manage tasks, routines, schedules, and related notes. This content is created by you and is not reviewed or accessed by us.

1.2 Usage Analytics

Rise collects anonymous usage analytics to help improve app stability, performance, and features. These analytics may be sent to external servers.

The analytics data:

  • Does not include personally identifiable information
  • Does not include task content, titles, notes, or schedules
  • Is used only in aggregate form

Examples of analytics data may include:

  • App launch and session information
  • Feature usage (such as which screens or actions are used)
  • Performance metrics and crash diagnostics

1.3 Device and System Data

Basic device and system information (such as operating system version or app version) may be included in analytics to diagnose issues and improve compatibility.

2. How Your Data Is Used

The collected data is used solely to:

  • Improve app reliability and performance
  • Understand which features are useful or underused
  • Fix bugs and prevent crashes

Rise does not use analytics data for advertising, user profiling, or tracking across apps or services.

3. Data Storage and Sync

3.1 Local Storage

Your tasks, routines, and schedules are stored locally on your device.

3.2 iCloud / CloudKit

If iCloud sync is enabled, your data is securely stored and synchronized using Apple’s CloudKit. Apple processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policies.

Rise does not have access to your iCloud account or direct visibility into your synced content.

4. Data Sharing

Rise does not sell or rent your data.

Data may be shared only:

  • With analytics providers, in anonymized and aggregated form
  • When required by law
  • Through Apple services you explicitly enable, such as iCloud

5. Third-Party Services

Rise may use third-party services for anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting. These services are configured to avoid collecting personal data and are used strictly for app improvement purposes.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Your app content remains on your device and/or iCloud until you delete it
  • Analytics data is retained only as long as necessary for operational and improvement purposes
  • Deleting the App removes locally stored data
  • iCloud data removal follows Apple’s iCloud policies

7. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect your data, including Apple-provided encryption, sandboxed app storage, secure iCloud synchronization, and limited anonymized analytics collection.

8. Children’s Privacy

Rise is not intended for children under the age of 13. No personal data is knowingly collected from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the effective date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
